Concept of Nick names for Muslim baby names

Muslim names are one important factor of recognition for Muslims in society. Now we should take care of the fact that Allah Almighty has restricted Muslims to hurt one another because this leads to the defying of haququlIbad.

“O ye who believe! Let not some men among you laugh at others: it may be that the (latter) are better than the (former): nor let some women laugh at others: it may be that the (latter) are better than the (former): nor defame nor be sarcastic to each other, nor call each other by (offensive) nicknames”.

Now the above verse mentions the three main problems related to mockery of names,

1 ) Mocking people by any of their trait

2 ) calling them by bad nicknames

3 ) Calling out people for things they have not done already.

In Pakistan as well, Most people keep difficult Islamic names for the babies because they want to keep the modern trend touch making themselves  to keep  Popular Muslim baby names for their children, In this matter they forget that people will not be able to call these names and they end up making nicknames which the person, beholder of the name, may not like.

If calling out by nicknames be it for Muslim baby girl names or Muslim baby boy names, they end up hurting the sentiments of the people which does not come under the category of good deeds.Now sometimes people even call out each other when a person has disability or any thing physical , maybe a trait that the person may not like about himself. This lead to repetitive calling of the same nick name that makes bad impacts on a personality of the person, which is against the character building of any human being let alone Muslims.
